After doing the test for locus of control given by J.M.Burger (1986) I found that I am a person with high internal locus of control. I usually get what I want because of my hard work. I am very clear in my mind about doing any work allotted to me. I do not prefer involving luck over hard work. Whatever accomplishment I have they are because of my hard work and dedication. I do the things which I have thought of or made up my mind. I am not a kind of person who does not set goals. I believe that it is an important part of one’s personality to set goals. People may get an opening or an opportunity due to luck at times but they go ahead due to their hard work. I love to take challenges. I am always interested in finding out about me and my performance as compared to others.

In preparing a budget, a distance teaching institution needs to forecast two types of costs: fixed and variable. Qualitative Research

Qualitative research uses a naturalistic approach that seeks to understand phenomena in context-specific settings, such as "real world setting [where] the researcher does not attempt to manipulate the phenomenon of interest" (Patton, 2001, p. 39). Qualitative research, broadly defined, means "any kind of research that produces findings not arrived at by means of statistical procedures or other means of quantification" (Strauss and Corbin, 1990, p. 17) and instead, the kind of research that produces findings arrived from real-world settings where the "phenomenon of interest unfold naturally" (Patton, 2001, p. 39). Unlike quantitative researchers who seek causal determination, prediction, and generalization of findings, qualitative researchers seek instead illumination, understanding, and extrapolation to similar situations (Hoepfl, 1997).
