Dividend Investment Capital

In this chapter the literature reviews will be viewed. The studies done by researcher on the dividend will be presented. This chapter is divided into 4 sections the first section discusses and reviews research done on the determinant of dividend policy. The second section reviews the focused literature on the regulated and unregulated companies. The third section will look the previous study done in India on dividend. The last section present the literature review on the methodology used in this dissertation.

Capital Budgeting

At a worldwide level, globalization refers to the growing economic interdependence among countries as reflected in increasing cross-border flows of goods, services, capital and knowledge. For instance, world trade has increased considerably over the recent years. World exports which stood at $61 billion in 1950 rose to $ 315 billion in 1970, $ 3,447 billion in 1990 and further to $7,480 billion in 2003. During this entire period, the growth in world trade was significantly higher than the growth in world output. As a result an increasing proportion of world output entered into world trade (Mishra & Puri, 2007).

Capital Adequacy Directive

n the recent years, it seems that the supervisors have increased the attention on the capital adequacy of banking intuitions in order to enhance and maintain the stability of financial system.

The purpose of the present paper is to investigate into the merits as well as disadvantages of the Capital Adequacy Directive implementation in the Switzerland economy for the behaviors of Swiss banks and shed some light on whether and how Swiss bank react to constraints placed by the regulator on their capital.
