The Impact of Lillian Wald on Public and Community Health Past and Present

Public health nursing has made a sizeable impact on society from the past to the present. Lillian Wald one of the originators of public health nursing, first introduced public health to the poor and indigent population and to the public school systems. With a history of large contributions and significant events Lillian Wald has made the field of public health nursing what it is today.

Impact on The Consumer Movement

Looking back on the history of America, there have been many people that have made a significant difference in our country and some people to this day are still fighting for righteousness. Some individuals, like Martin Luther King, have left a legacy for us to follow; while others, like President Nixon, left uncompleted goals for us to accomplish. Then there are those individuals that are still alive and striving for justice in our country like Ralph Nader.
