Worldwide mergers between financial and banking institutions, it seems one of the feature of globalization in financial markets. The inroads of U.S. banking investment into Europe financial market, or the existence of overseas banks in many emerging markets prove that the Banking sector is currently functioning at global scale. However, further examination of numbers shows that mergers in between financial institution are quietly recent phenomenon and mainly have a tendency to occur in between some specific countries.
Mergers in financial sector are not a new phenomenon. In year 1970, it become very popular and then declining.
