Economics Dissertation | Free Trade EU

"The trade relationship between the European Union and China is one that has existed for several years now. However, this relationship is one that has had its share of conflicts over the past 15 years or so, with regard to the volumes traded between the two regions. Since China entered the WTO in December 2001, trade barriers between China and the European were removed in order to ameliorate trade between the two."

European Studies Dissertation | European Union Policy

"The aim of this dissertation is to analyse how the European Union impacts on the national level of the foreign policy-making of its smaller Member States and how their role within the European political system and vis-à-vis other countries has or has not changed as a result. It will review the ways and means by which the national foreign policy-making of a small European state has been transformed by participation in a broader European political system. This topic was chosen because it relates to Malta, being the smallest country in terms of population and territory in the EU."

Policy EU Structures

In contrast to the gradually increasing centralization of policy making in Brussels, the eventual implementation of the EU legislation is a responsibility of the national public administration structures. There are, however, very big differences in the extent to which this responsibility is undertaken and more importantly, the way it is undertaken. According to various statistics, differences appear not only between individual member states, but also on how legislation from varying policy areas is implemented in a given state. (Börzel,2001).
