There are many current government regulations and standards that are provided through The North Carolina Department of Social Services. "The Social Services Commission shall have the power and duty to establish standards and adopt rules and regulations". The rules and regulations are set by the agency of The Dep. of Social Services. According to The Dep. of Commission they have the duty to establish standards of eligibility for all services, maximum rates of payment, fees to be paid by recipients of services, standards to implement all services, designation of particular and mandated services.
