In this chapter the literature reviews will be viewed. The studies done by researcher on the dividend will be presented. This chapter is divided into 4 sections the first section discusses and reviews research done on the determinant of dividend policy. The second section reviews the focused literature on the regulated and unregulated companies. The third section will look the previous study done in India on dividend. The last section present the literature review on the methodology used in this dissertation.
