Coping with ADHD

ADHD, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, is a disorder that affects many children around the world. Children who are diagnosed with ADHD show three mainly behavioural problems: inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Therefore, if the child has trouble staying focused, is easily distracted, leaves his seat in situations where sitting quiet is expected, and has inability to keep powerful emotions in check, parents should pay closely attention and look for a professional help, because children could suffer consequences such as getting in hot water with parents and teachers for not following directions; under performing in school; and clashing with other kids over not playing by the rule. Once the kids have the proper diagnosing, and it is proved they have ADHD, they can benefit from medications, therapy, and parental training.

Contemporary Problems


This is information of how the mentally ill can hurt the poor in a time of need and how AIDS affect the poor in a time of need. There are issues that people do not see like the current or unmet need of either the mental ill or people who have AIDS. When we these people have the help they need.
We all know that mentally illness issues can affect every class bracket. We see it more in the poor people. The poor does not have money to spend on doctors or median so there illness's can not be taken care of in the best way possible. If people does have some kind of insurance like throw the government, state, or local they may only cover a small portion of what it cost so there needs are not going to be met.

Contemporay Problems in Human Services


The Salvation Army of Butler County in Ohio focuses on helping those in need. While their cliental mostly consists of working class people and indigents, Bishop, (1964). another huge focus for them are the children living in poverty. While the Salvation Army only found it's way to the United States in 1879, Schwartz(2001). The Army has exceeded in many ways to help those children in need.
Some of the things the Salvation Army does to help these children, and their families, are : They support the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. They have built numerous hospitals and living facilities for children born in wedlock.

Describe the Physiology of Blood Pressure Maintenance in the Healthy Individual


The aim of this assignment is to describe the physiology of blood pressure maintenance in the healthy individual.
Blood pressure can be explained as 'the force exerted by blood against the walls of the vessels in which it is contained' (Marieb & Hoehn, 2007, p.148). Blood is pumped around the body by the heart. Blood that is low in oxygen is pumped towards the lungs, where it will acquire more oxygen. Blood that is high in oxygen is pumped around the body to be used by the muscles and cells (NHS choices, 2008).

Building a Strong Team

Currently I work with Sandberg Supported Living in Thousand Oaks, California. This is a care facility, that takes care of recipients diagnose with autism, has physically and other mental disabilities. Collaborating with state investigators, psychologist and physicians to ensure that they are following the standard plan of care. Some of the steps I could take as a leader to build and develop a strong team includes, (a) growing your self-confidence as a leader, and inspiring confidence in others. (b) Making good decisions under stress, (c) Making sure that employees are “on target and performing well together in a “firm but fair way” that gets the job done while respecting the rights of team members”( Mind Tools, 2005).
