In this paper, information system implementation process in Lockheed-Georgia is analysed and benefits of such system are discussed. In the first and second part of the paper, the information system types are analysed depending on the case study-‘The Management Information and Decision Support (MIDS) System at Lockheed-Georgia (1987)’. In the third part, the situation before the implementation process is examined. Additionally, the actual implementation process is analysed and finally, the benefits of the system are discussed.
