Impact of Ethics on Decision-Making


Decisions are made everyday but not all decisions made are ethically defensible. Personal values as well as social, legal and universal values provide the cornerstone for ethical decision-making. Ethical approaches from different perspectives are discussed and the ground rules for ethical decision-making are presented.
When we hear the word “ethics”, what comes to mind is being morally correct based on values and beliefs. “In a general sense, ethics is the code of moral principles and values that govern the behaviors of a person or group with respect to what is right or wrong. Ethics sets standards as to what is good or bad in conduct and decision-making.
