Karl Marx was an influential political and economic thinker who had a major influence on world affairs. In the University of Bonn, he studied law until he transferred to the University of Berlin where he switched to philosophy. Marx After graduating from college, he wanted to become a professor, but his criticism of religion and the Prussian government ended his hopes and forced him to move to Paris. There, he met Friedrich Engels and based many of his views from the basis of Engels'. Engels and Marx became intellectual partners and were involved in a workers' movement that favored socialism, which shows their commitment to their ideas for solving the major problems of the lower classes.
